As part of our commitment to onboarding the latest and most relevant technology, as well as to providing customers with the best banking experience possible, State Bank of Cross Plains is pleased to announce the roll-out of a new alert system – Notifi – this month.
The go-live date for the new system is August 5, 2019. It’s important to note that, if you are a customer who currently utilizes our existing alert system, you will need to sign up to receive the new Notifi alerts; the existing alert system will cease operation entirely on August 15, and users will not be transferred automatically.
Notifi allows users to tailor not just the types of notifications they receive, but the ways by which they receive them. Customers can be alerted the moment a transaction hits their account, or a check has cleared, or their balance has fallen below a certain threshold via text, email, or push notification through their mobile banking app.
Any user – individual or business – that conducts mobile banking is eligible to sign up for the service. Below, please find answers to some of the questions that you may have about Notifi.
Can I set up alerts from the mobile banking app?
Yes. To set up push notification through our Mobile Banking app, just log on, select More from the main menu, then Alerts. Turn on Push Notifications. Once turned on, you can set up account alerts, security alerts, and view your recent history of alerts sent.
How do I activate an email address or phone number to receive alerts?
When setting up alerts from the Contact Options tab, just click “send activation code.” Type the code you receive into the activation box.
How do I sign up to receive Notifi alerts?
Log in to Online Banking and select the “Alerts” option located on the upper portion of the screen. You can select from the categories you wish to receive alerts on.
Is there a fee to use the service?
No. This is a free service. However, please note that text message and data fees may be charged by your service provider to receive text alerts.
Can I use alerts to help guard against fraud?
Absolutely. We recommend that all customers set up Notifi to monitor account activity. When you activate Notifi you’ll know exactly what’s happening with your money, and you can watch for suspicious activity in real-time.
