Patrick joined the State Bank of Cross Plains in 2019 after SBCP and Union Bank & Trust joined forces. With 26 years in law and banking, Patrick is well equipped to advise, counsel and educate clients on a variety of wealth succession, estate planning and real property matters. Previously, Patrick operated a legal practice in northern Illinois with concentrations in estate planning, real estate and business/corporate law.
He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he obtained a Bachelor of Finance and a Master in Business Administration. He received his law degree from John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois and attended Pepperdine University’s Cannon Trust School.
Jeff joined the State Bank of Cross Plains in 2019 after SBCP and Union Bank & Trust joined forces. Since 1981, Jeff has dedicated his career to providing trusted professional advice and support in the areas of Investment & Asset Allocation Planning, Insurance & Risk Management, Estate Planning, Retirement Plans, Employee Benefit Plans, Medicare, and Long-Term Care Planning.

He earned his designation of Chartered Life Underwriter from the American College in 2004. Jeff obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2006 and is a past board member of the General Agents and Managers Association of Madison.
Mark leverages his analytical background to offer a comprehensive view of his clients’ financial pictures. A familiar face in the industry throughout the Greater Madison Area, he has been with the State Bank of Cross Plains since 2004, where he leads the department’s investment function. He also plays a key role on the Bank’s Trust & Investment Committee.
A Madison native, Mark completed his undergraduate work in business administration at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree with a finance focus from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He has successfully completed a variety of Cannon Financial Estate Planning classes and has obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Mark is also on the Board of Directors for the Madison Area Independent Sports League.
Kathy joined the bank in 1986 in the Wealth Management Division of the State Bank of Cross Plains. As a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA™), Kathy has the ability and expertise to work with her clients on multiple fronts with an emphasis on trust account administration, estate/probate administration, IRA and investment administration and tax planning. She also oversees the operations/administrative functions of the department.
Prior to working at State Bank, Kathy worked in a Trust Department of another bank in downtown Madison. Along with obtaining her CTFA™, she is a Cannon Trust School graduate, Bankers’ Systems Qualified Retirement Planning graduate, a Registered Para Planner and is a member of the Bank’s Trust & Investment Committee.
Jordon delivers over 14 years’ experience in investment advising and planning for business owners, foundations and endowments, and employee groups. He has also worked extensively with individuals and families while structuring their assets to move on efficiently to the next generation. His experience includes teaming with internal and external advisors, making investment recommendations and executing strategies to meet his clients’ goals. He has developed a niche in alternative asset evaluation through his work for a syndicated investment firm.
Jordon completed his undergraduate work in finance and real estate at Colorado State University before going on to earn his MBA at Edgewood College. Jordon is also on the Board of Directors for WisPACT, Inc. and GiGi’s Playhouse in Madison.
Dawn began her career with the State Bank of Cross Plains in 2011 and in 2013 joined our Wealth Management Team. Since then, Dawn’s role has grown and developed substantially through her exceptional dedication and initiative. As a trust officer, Dawn’s primary duties include ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service to beneficiaries of active trust relationships. In addition, Dawn oversees leadership of Wealth Management marketing efforts and coordination of departmental business development efforts. Her active role in nurturing relationships with both clients and their professional advisors is recognized and admired throughout the local estate planning community.
Dawn earned a B.B.A degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Dawn is a Board Member of the Madison Estate Council.
Alex joined State Bank of Cross Plains in 2019 as a result of the SBCP, UB&T merger. Alex provides valuable professional advice in the Investment and Insurance Industry including but not limited to; Asset Allocation, Insurance & Risk Management, Business Planning and 401k Plans.
He received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Certification in 2017 and his Chartered Financial Consultant® Certification in 2018. Alex is a Level 2 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) candidate. He is a graduate of Martin Luther College in 2004 with a degree in Liberal Arts with emphasis on history and classical languages.
Dan joined the State Bank of Cross Plains in 1999 and is responsible for its Wealth Management and Financial Advisory Divisions. With extensive Wealth Management experience dating back to 1989, Dan is intimately involved with all facets of our business including, but not limited to, investment management, financial planning, business development, trust administration, and working closely with a broad cross section of our valued clients.
After graduating from Marquette University, Dan went on to receive his Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. To further his education, Dan graduated from the American Bankers Association National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School. He has also participated in a variety of additional advanced educational programs and continues to do so today.
Jennifer (Jenny) joined the State Bank of Cross Plains in 2019 after SCBP and Union Bank & Trust Company joined forces. Jenny joined UB&T in 2014 and was the Senior Trust Officer responsible for management of the Trust Department. Prior to her role managing the Trust Department at Union Bank & Trust Company, Jenny had spent over 22 years servicing high net worth wealth management clients with a large Madison Trust Company. Jenny enjoys working closely with her clients to provide guidance and solutions for their wealth management needs.
Christine joined State Bank of Cross Plains in 2019 after the merge between UB&T and SBCP. She has been in the industry since 2002. Christine’s primary focus on client relations management recently transitioned her in the Advisor role. She received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Certification in 2017.
Christine looks for to partnering with you to create a personalized plan and provide financial guidance. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
Jeff joined the State Bank of Cross Plains in 2001. Jeff’s primary responsibility is business development with an emphasis on financial planning, retirement income management and small to mid-sized business retirement plans. Prior to joining the bank, he was a Retirement Plan Specialist with a mutual fund company in Chicago.
Jeff received a B.B.A. in Finance from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa. In addition to his obtainment of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, he also has completed Cannon Trust I, II & III through Cannon Financial Institute while graduating with honors and obtaining the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA™) designation. Professional memberships include: Madison Estate Council, Financial Planning Association, and the Dane County Dementia Friendly Financial Network. Jeff is a former board member of the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin.
Paul began his career with the State Bank of Cross Plains in October, 2014 and has over ten years of experience in banking and financial services. Paul earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. His education, along with his previous experience, makes him a great asset to our team.
Paul focuses on a comprehensive planning process; whereas, he not only looks at today’s need but also plans ahead. Guiding each client through a process of determining what is a reasonable expectation from their investments along with working to mitigate risk wherever possible. Tax-smart investing, individual retirement planning, small business retirement planning, college planning and insurance are his areas of emphasis.
